Christian Education

Mission Statement

The Mission of the Mount Calvary Baptist Church Christian Education Ministry, which includes all teaching ministries, is to provide a strong foundation in Christian education for every believer, while empowering servants who seek higher dimensions of personal, spiritual and emotional growth in their Christian walk. With a spirit of excellence, we are committed to kingdom building through spiritual academic instruction, the unity of faith and in the knowledge of the Word of God.

Vision Statement

To cultivate a multi-cultural Ministry that evangelizes souls, edifies saints and equips servants for Christian works, while offering a relevant/radiant worship experience and maintaining a climate of Christian love.

New Member Orientation

New Member Orientation assists new members in their transition into membership of the corporate ministry of the Mount Calvary family. This goal is accomplished by the teaching of God’s Word, the cultivation of fellowship and by the nurturing of mature believers via discipleship and/or mentoring. We assimilate new members into the practical functions and life of this ministry. New Member Orientation is held on Sunday mornings 8:00 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.

Sunday School

The mission of the Sunday School is to provide a structured framework in order to prepare Christians for ministry, outreach, evangelism and assimilation. Sunday School has classes designed for all age groups and is a great way for families to grow together in God’s Word. Sunday School is 8:00 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. All classes are open to members as well as non-members.

Bible Study

Wednesday night is Family Bible Study night. This study is designed to serve those who would like to learn more of God’s Word through a study of the Books of the Bible as well as a wide array of topical subjects. Age-appropriate classes are offered and available for children, youth and adults. Bible Study is 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. All classes are open to members as well as non-members.

School of Ministry (Previously-Advanced Biblical Doctrine Institute)

The School of Ministry is designed to serve serious Bible Students for the work of ministry within the church as well as the broader community. The requirements for this teaching series include a textbook, tests, projects, term papers, etc. The School of Ministry meets on Monday nights from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Classes begin in the fall of the year and continue through the spring. Students earn merit badges for successful completion of course work. All classes are open to members as well as non-members.

Enjoy your own brown bag lunch as we fellowship together from 12 to 12:30 p.m. The Christian Education Ministry seeks to provide all of our members a robust study of God’s Word.
